I imagine it's free to promote the movie... advertising gimmick, full fledged game, or both? Attack the Block had a similar free game by Creeps developer.

I agree. I hate "FREE" as nothing is truly free. Something tells me we're either going to get battery-burning ads in our faces or some form of consumable IAPs...
