App description: How far would you go to avoid a fashion disaster? Find out in the latest, greatest strategy game from BAFTA-award winning studio Littleloud.

An exceptionally funny game - PC Gamer

Inspired tower-defense/management-sim hybrid with lovely cartoon graphics, excellent ideas and a ton of little touches. - Gnomes Lair

"Sweatshop is a moment of brilliance, a piece of social commentary all the more provocative for its addictive mechanics - Hidden Exit

One of the most interesting things to come out of gaming I've seen in a while... - Daily Kos

In the end, whether you're willing to sacrifice some cash to treat your staff more humanly, or if you're fine with enslaving kids for a fast turnaround on the next designer shoe, is up to you and your conscience." - Wired UK

It is this reduction of human beings to numbers, pesky weak flesh in the way of the profit, that is Sweatshop's frightening strength. - PBS

Sweatshop reminds me of Theme Hospital, another game on a very short list of moralistic comedic business simulators. - Indie Games Ichiban

Featuring fast-paced strategy, black comedy and an affecting storyline, Sweatshop asks you to manage a madcap
clothing factory juggling the needs of clients with the welfare of workers.

Should you hire a fire officer to prevent the risk of workers dying horribly in an industrial blaze or pack them in to get the job done? Should you train workers
to make them more efficient and satisfied or fire them when they lose a limb in an industrial accident? How do you motivate workers: with generous treats and toilet breaks or an iron fist, long hours and verbal abuse?

Maybe you just want to buy a bunch of robots to do the job instead? Sweatshop lets you choose how you want to play, while challenging you to decide how far youd go to avoid a fashion disaster.

We are aware that some users are experiencing a problem loading the app. We are currently working on a fix. In the meantime close any background apps or restart your iPad as this will likely solve the issue.

Oh and by the way when you look on the AppStore for this it's now free

Edit- ok I've played the first three stages and I'm finding it hard to believe that this is by channel4 your running a sweatshop and employing children to do your work the manager is even talking about hiring staff who are "well endowed"
There's so much wrong about this game it's hilarious.
It plays out a bit like tower defence though. Your basically placing staff along the conveyor belt and each staff is suited to making a certain type of clothing item and your tasked with making as much money as you can while producing a certain amount of items.
Well worth a look for the crude humour alone

Hmm I'm not sure, it did see free when I pressed download even tho appshopper said it was paid? Knowing my luck I've probably been charged for it I won't regret it if I have been charged though as its pretty funny.

Not compatible with iPad1, says 'you need a camera to play this game'.
Do you or is that just a technical means to make the difference between iPad 1 and later?

I don't see any way this will use a camera so I think it's just to tell the difference.

You can't specify "iPad 2 and up" when submitting an app, so many apps will say that instead in order to limit the devices used.

Thx for the replies.
Alas, no Sweatshop for me then, unless the devs optimize the app and take pity upon iPad1 owners...
