Did they flip a game from paid to freemium or something? Just wondering what they did to burn your buns so I can avoid the same thing happening to me.

Twas just controversy that was Dead Trigger. If i remember corectly, i bought it day-1 at a buck, so im not sure that's what Greyskull's pointing at here. Maybe the premium membership thingy on Deadzone?

Anyways, I have to say, Shadowgun is one of the best run-n-gun 3PS shooters on the iOS right now. The only flaws is that it doesnt have a lot of variety in terms of gameplay mechanics, but there is enough content, a decent-but-basic story and a cool final boss fight. The game looks gorgeous on all compatible devices, and the controls are spot-on.

oh... and there's no IAP that i can remember.

Shadowgun is highly recommended, and is a pretty good purchase at $2.

Well said! Shadowgun is a great game. John Slade is an awesome character for a video game. No IAPs whatsoever and its one of the very best third person shooters on iOS. You can't go wrong with Shadowgun, especially for $2 dollars.

It's like a current gen third person Quake 2 visually, gameplay is fairly standard shooter so don't expect heaps of depth, but I enjoyed it and would have rather they stuck to full titles like this. Well worth grabbing.
