Although there are no sfx sounds in the video on the app store, what i find to be a bad decision or they are bad (?), i have to be confident there will be some in-game, because i already bought this shmup. Having two left/right direction buttons made my decision easier. It seems not to be an auto side scroller. Some imps will follow tomorrow after some more Implosion and a good sleep.

Yep theres sound effects (and a tune)

Picked this up (one of many this week), hope people dont pass this one by. Great Defender style homage. Nice you can make the buttons larger.

Only had a quick go, so far so good, left/right buttons and a thrust button, you're constantly shooting.

If you're a retro fan and loved Defender and also Jet Pac you'll like this

Yeah, what an expensive shooter/fighter week, lovely!

I might get banned soon, since i keep complaining about "music's too loud compared to the sfx sounds", lately. Same here for my personel preferences, but thank god/Dev, i can mute them. (Sorry, music doesn't fit at all for me).

Gameplay wise, i would recommend it. I'm having a ton of fun with it.
I really hope you do well in the ocean called app store.

PS: i just checked, though i can play my own music, the sfx sounds go mute.
Oh how i'd love me some volume sliders in all games...

I think at least two of the three tracks are quite good. But maybe I just got used to them listening 3 billion times while testing...

Well this game is a pleasant surprise!

I was initially taken in by the Defender-feel, but this changed the further I got into the game.

A good game became awesome once I realised what is really going on here... Sure, you can rescue the fairies for a few points, but there doesn't appear to be a direct penalty for letting them get captured.

The fairies aren't for rescuing.

That's right.
They're actually for exploiting.
The clue is in the name - Fairy Fire.

With a power-up you can get early in the game, your held fairies become vital weapons, in much the same way as the "options" do in Gradius!

To finish a level you need to destroy every enemy and deliver any *remaining* fairies to the exit. Keep the fairies around and use their firepower for your benefit. Then you'll realise how brilliant and clever this game is.
