I picked it up over the weekend, due to the message saying it was the final sale

There really isn't that much depth in the game yet. Right now you can do free-flights in 5 different airplanes. It's quite a sizeable map in perspective. My complaint is the tilt controls though. I'd prefer a little joystick to work the controls with, but whatever. I mainly just end up crashing on the runway or the strip

Anyway, do get it whist it's free

INSTALLED SIZE: 199MB

NOTE: Next update will bring missions and GC achievements

That was my concern with buying it, what is there to do but fly around the map? Nothing right now so I passes on it. But for free, yeah no thought required... downloading. I actually hope to be surprised.

Hi, I'm one of the developers...if you don't mind please leave your thoughts as it helps us improve the game.

Thanks

Sure, and I hope you don't take it personally that I'm not going to sugar coat my response. It's truly not personal, I'm just a serious iOS gamer. As I suspected by watching the TA Plays video, there's nothing to do in the game other than pick a plane... take off, and fly around. Maybe for some people that's all they want but for me it's boring since I have little purpose in playing the game. You can try to land in interesting spots or wreck on purpose (which honestly since 9/11, wrecking planes into stuff just doesn't seem like much fun even in a game)... but beyond that there's really nothing at all to do. I'm comforted by the little message that shows up to say the future update will include some "Missions, Game Center Achievements, and more!"... because the game really needs it. I'd love some arial waypoints to fly through ... or items to collect around the map... or just anything to do.

As far as Vegas goes, I'm not a big Vegas dude, so it doesn't mean as much to me as maybe it would to others. What is rendered looks pretty good. Only a small percent of the world is actually 3d rendered. The rest is something like a Google Maps satellite image with some areas defined as roads for the AI trucks to drive down. So it's ultimately, not that good of an environment since it seems unfinished.

Flight wise, the game seems to be pretty solid. I found little use for my rudder or flaps ... but I still used my flaps when landing and that helped though I bounced along a half dozen or so times before I finally stuck the landing.

I hope that helps a little. It's probably nothing you haven't heard before... but that's my honest feedback after spending some time with the game and taking a few flights. Loading time is a bit excessive too... but not so much that I wanted to give up before the game even started. It would be nice though to not have to load after a crash and get the option to restart with the same plane.

The next update should be out late next week. You'll find a plethora of worth while achievements. After that we're releasing missions

The game should remain free for the next 10 hrs or so

Cool. I'll have to give it a second chance after the update.
