I think tel meant this game:

Youtube link | Pop Up

According to this article, dated June 12th, 2009, its still in early development phase. In fact, the game is not even listed on Freeverse's list of games (which should list a game even if its still upcoming, e.g. Thor and Legion of Amon).

iPhone Launch Party, Freeverse announced several upcoming games they have been developing for the iPhone and iPod touch: Warpack Grunts and Warp Gate stood out.
Warpack has been released and I found a web site that said Warp gate was to
be released at the end of June.
The game is described as a 3d space exploration / shooter / trading game that seems similar to Escape Velocity with a fully 3D engine.

We are busy at work on Warpgate and Flick Baseball. Warpgate is nearing the final stages of development, but as they say, the last 10% can be 90% of the work.

Right now we are paying careful attention to control, ensuring the controls are intuitive and easy to use. I'll get some screenshots together so you can see how things are going.

Awesome... Screens are always welcome
A new gameplay video would be best though

This looks somewhat similar to Star Trek Armada. I wonder will you be able to build stations and shipyards? I've been looking for a game like this. It looks great.

My all time favorite game, well series of games, is the Escape Velocity series. This appers to be very similiar to it. Obviously, it has the graphical style of EVE Online and other newer 3D space games... but as it is described in the article:
Quote:
Players will master commodity markets, battle space pirates, and meet several friendly and hostile alien species.
this appears to be more in line with Escape Velocity - which is awesome.

I've often wondered A) When a game like this was going to be developed for the iDevice and B) Why the hell Amrbosia (original devs for EV) isn't making at least a port of the original EV, or new one optimized for the iDevice...

We were kind of wondering the same thing. And decided, if they were not going to make it, we would.
