Hmm, sounds good. I'm sick of TD games which just stick with the basic formula. I like TD games which brings something new to the table that makes them distinguishable from the others.

Might check it out if reviews are good

My quick review on my iPod:

I'd say this game is worth $.99 but is missing one key feature - a fast forward button. That alone may be a turnoff for TD fans. That aside, this is a really polished game.

Right away, you'll notice the amount of effort put into by the menu screen. It is complimented with epic music. The sound carries through in the game. Though there is no usix during the game, you here sound effects. Depending on how far out you pan, you here different tones of the sound. A really neat realistic concept

The gameplay is pretty neat. There are 3 main different enemy types: Land, Sea, and Air. You must set up your defenses to protect against each of them. To defend, you must use three main different towers: Gun, rocket, and slow. It features an upgrade path similar to 7 Cities. What makes this unique is the ability to modify land. Honestly, it wasn't too neat, but I was impressed nonetheless. You can flood land which can alter the path your enemy takes. By building towers on water, you also add land which can change the path the sea enemies take. The catch - over time, things happen. I noticed that water can evaporate and similarily it can flood. Over the course of the game, the landscape changed.

Tridefense is open path similar to Fieldrunners. This gives you a ton of strategy for placing towers. The terrain further enhances the experience. I haven't gotten to far in depth, but the difficulty seems pretty balanced but leaning to the hard side. Still, there is a "rookie" and "expert" option for those to play.

So is it good? I'd say this is another great TD to add to your collection. Until a fast forward feature is added, I can't see me playing this too much, but if it is, then this will be a great one to have.

Cocometer: 3.7/5

Recommended to fans of the genre. However there are many other TD games in the app store that you should get before this.

As a side note, this game has crashed on me once. If this continues to happen, I will changed the cocometer accordingly.

Edit: so apparantly everytime you get a gameover, the game crashes. Not a good sign.

I can't resist these 99 cent introductory prices, even though they always end up staying that way for a while. Bought.

Thanks for the review Coconutbowling!
One question though, without the FF button, is the game painstakingly slow? Or is it bearable.

My law: Play any game you get starting on it's hardest difficulty. It's less fun and more frustrating that way
