Got it already, definitely a good little high score arcade style challenge. Grab it and throw the dev a review if you like retrotastic style games.

Bought it a couple days ago, I dont particulary like the controls but it has some charm to it, for free its worth checking for sure.

Favorite games: LittleWing Crystal Caliburn, Legends of Yore, Hook Worlds, Phoenix HD, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Spectral Souls, Bastion, Avadon, Dariusburst SP, Aquaria, King of Dragon Pass & Starbase Orion

I've tried to get the dev to make the ship turn around to face the direction moving quicker that it would greatly improve the controls but they didn't seem to listen. Still, it's decent fun as is, just not full on epic like Panic Spings or one of the retro 2600 inspired games.

Edit: hmm, the controls are still not perfect but the recent update I think improved them. Just for second on the highscore leaderboard which was over 100k so I got that achievement. Still first on low scoreboard and now first on the new scoreboard for playing the game.

I hated the controls and didn't like the game at all. There are many Atari games way better on App Store.

I think part of the problem is they are pretty unique which takes a bit to figure out. Sliding the finger moves the ship but small circular movements rotates.

It was posted in the icade thread, that this will have icade joystick support soon. Kinda strange cause this is an iphone only game, but since an icade core joystick will work fine with an iphone pretty cool.

If anyone is interested in info on icade joysticks, made a buying guide, it is here, added some info on using an icade core with an iphone or itouch.
