I haven't played it myself, but I've read good things about Slamjet Stadium, by Alistair Aitcheson. Here's a link to some reviews of the game, including a 9/10 by Pocket Gamer. There's a free version: Slamjet Free.

Minotaur Rescue - it has normal two player plus tanks and jets. I think I'll crack it open myself tonight again.

Mirror's Edge is a no brainer. And Fight Drunk 3D is just a hilarious game, but not sure if it's for iPad.

Device: iPhone 6 Plus 64GB
iOS Favorites: Alto's Adventure, VVVVVV, Wayward Souls, BADLAND, IMPOSSIBLE ROAD, Super Hexagon, NightSky, Superbrothers:Sword&Sworcery, Perfect Cell, Nihilumbra

Marble Mixer - especially if playing with younger players or game novices.

Marble Mixer is terrific, playing it often with my family.
Multiplonk is also great fun.
Both games support up to four players simultainiusly, although three of the game modes in Marble Mixer is turn based.

Also a great shout out for Lead Wars, which is quite a gem!
