Send Apps As a Gift?

Is it possible to "gift" games or other apps from the AppStore? Like the same way we can gift albums or other content. Is it possible to do the same with applications (from Canada)

Thanks in advance

I don't think you can do this but I think it's possible to send iTunes money to other people.

OK, the reason I'm asking is because I'm looking into doing app giveaways/contests for my website. What would be the best way to accomplish this?

It actually looks pretty nice, similar to armbrusters blog (which I hate for content reasons) But I do like the layout and reading through some of your posts I think this could be good blog, just keep it updated

Just give out $5 iTunes gift cards.

Otherwise you'd need to know the person's iPhone/touch ID. Then you would send out the software to them with the ad hoc file. That is how we get games when beta testing, so you could use that method I guess.
