Healer is a wow raid healing simulator rpg. It gets frantic pretty quick! Saw this on the reddit iosgaming subreddit.

Meh, I've already got a shadow/disc priestess if I really want to do this.

Yeah, I think this is more for those who enjoy the experience but don't want a monthly fee or people yelling at them to heal me now!!! Plus you can pause this, not so much with MMOs.

Lol, that was a good one!

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

This game is absolutely brilliant. I'm a little biased because I did this playing WoW for several years. That said, there is some quality gameplay here.

The best way to describe this is that it's a time management simulation, but the pace is frantic. It's kind of like those games where you're trying to serve customers and keep everyone happy at the same time, while things are going wrong.

The game plays out as a series of boss battles. Each boss requires a different strategy: some will do massive damage to a single ally (your "tank"), while others will target random allies for execution. You have a large arsenal of healing spells to keep everyone alive, of which you get to pick 4. You can switch these abilities at any time outside of battle, and you will definitely want to. For some enemies, it's an AoE (area of effect) fight -- you're going to need abilities that heal multiple allies at once. Other bosses make heavy use of debuffs -- you'll need Purify to keep your allies healthy.

I get it -- the screenshots don't look appealing. What do you mean, I'm clicking health bars and mashing buttons. Where's the fun in that? There's actually a surprising amount of depth and strategy here. Each boss fight plays out very differently. There's dozens of spells to pick from. There are talents you can use to customize your healer to your play style. This is one of those games that's more fun to play than to look at. The graphics are by no means bad, but they don't lend themselves to really cool looking screenshots.

I can't help but think there's a missed opportunity to capitalize on one of the best parts of PvE raids, which is the loot. I REALLY wish the enemies dropped loot, with which you could equip your guys. There could also be leaderboards for killing bosses the fastest, and better loot for a quick kill.

Overall though, I really can't recommend this game highly enough. I know it's expensive at $4.99, but it's a small price to pay for a really impressive, unique, and strategically interesting game.

I'm here to answer any questions people have about it, from what I've seen so far.
