On Posting Articles from Other Sites

Hi All,

Just an update. Sometimes people post articles from outside sites that are of interest. This is fine (if it's not your site), but I'd ask that people limit the copy/paste to an excerpt of the original article and not copy the entire article. Also provide a link to the original article.

I review at STP (which I dont) but I post my reveiew here at TA User Review Section. But you want us to limit how much we do that?

It was originally the entire contents of the pocketgamer article pasted into a post. I cut it down to a representative excerpt.

this policy has been added to the official list of rules:

offenses will result in infractions, and repeat infractions would eventually result in banning, though I don't think it would get to that. Just link to article you'd like to discuss.

Oops. I`ve been copy pasting entire articles here. Didnt realize there was anything wrong with it
(though I did add the original link in all the posts)

Is there a maximum amount of paragraphs or text that we can use as an excerpt?

Or just what see fit as the most vital information from the original article?
