It's an ultra simple roguelike. You just tap to move, and attack what you run into. You have a single skill, a buff, that you tap and hold to use. The strength of the game is the loot variety (and at least weapons and helmets affect your appearance), and random levels. Unless I'm missing something, there is no way to pause and resume a game. You just have to play it through. All in all, good fun for a buck with no IAP.

Edit: and thanks to metalcasket for adding the video and stuff

Does it track high scores? Do the beasties have unique abilities? Permadeath?

It definitely bears a resemblance to bit Dungeon. Scores are not tracked. It does of course have permadeath.
