Code is now available

*

Code ($0.99)
You are the Codebreaker and your mission is to guess the Codemakers codepatterns (and to become the Codemaster), via the Decoding Board (6 x 6 grid) using the Decoding Palette (below the 6 x 6 grid). With the GO!-button you trigger the Key Verifier (small 6 x 6 grid with black, red, & white indicators) that shows you the result of the code on the Decoding Board (as feedback). Use Shake Gesture to set a random code into the Decoding Board.

Key Verifier results:
- Black = wrong color.
- Red = right color at the right position.
- White = right color, but the wrong position.

The Codemaker has prepared 500 codes (each code consists of a 6 x 6 grid with up to 6 colors) for you to break (it's 5 levels of difficulty with 100 codes each). You start at level 1 & code 1, and you break codes on your way up to become The Codemaster.

You get 100 points at the first try, if correct. Else you get -1 point for every wrong try (minimum points is 1 per code broken).

The game includes over 1 hour of original high quality soundtrack (12 tracks total). The soundtrack is encoded in iTunes Plus quality (256 kbit AAC).

Thank you! And you are correct, Code is inspired by the original boardgame Mastermind.

Code is delyed in some App Stores for some reason. Sorry about that. I'll tweet when I have confirmation that it's available in all App Stores.

Thanks for bumping this topic, I never opened it until now. 500 puzzles is great. But in Mastermind, codes could be random and unlimited. Any reason why that's not the case in Code?
(500 is plenty, the player could always remove and reinstall to start over and (s)he'll have forgotten about the games (s)he played first, I'm just curious.)

And is it similar to Mastermind in that you have to crack a code on a horizontal line? Your intro makes it sound like you need to crack an entire 6x6 grid (=36 blocks, instead of 4-6 normally)?

I'm going on holiday next Friday and I'm looking for a game to spend time on on rainy days. But a few $0.99 games could be better than one $2.99 or $3.99 game. And Code sounds really polished!
