There is trouble on the street and your weapon's the beat!

Listen up, student: everyone has a heartbeat. For some its the pursuit of money, others are driven by power, and there are many more beats that are less Clear. All those rhythms, they overlap but the noise of the city doesnt matter to America Jones. America cares about two things... his woman and the fight. He was the best fighter in the city; everyone knew that but then one night, everything changed.

Hell bent on revenge, America comes to the Temple to train with Snoop Dogg. Finding the way means finding the beat that drives the fight, in order to revenge Sierra and bring peace to this troubled city and that is why you are here. Train as AJ, pick a side, take your chances and find the way: The Way of the Dogg.

Way of the Dogg is a brutal, rhythm-action combat adventure, set to Snoop Doggs music. Each level is a fresh fight against a different character in a new location defined by a Snoop Dogg track. As AJ, fight your way through 14 levels, each a superbly choreographed beat-matched fight, set to Snoop's music, including 'Who am I?', 'Gz and Hustlas' and '10 Lil Crips' to name but a few. Follow Snoop's lead in the Temple Tutorials. Train with Snoop, pick a side, take your chances and find the way: The Way of the Dogg.

Haha, wasn't expecting this anytime soon. Though Snoop Dogg or Lion or whatever he goes by these days is the last thing I'd listen to nowadays...that app description hit the right spot: "Who am I?"

Bought.

EDIT: Well, I'll be damned. No IAPs.

Rhythm fighting game similar to Demons Score? Universal? $3? Bought.

The week seems to get better, but we'll see.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

I'd buy that.

Really digging the game. I know the console versions haven't exactly gotten the best reviews in the entire world, but I feel like this would be strongest on iOS due to the controls. I love the fact that there's actually a story (albeit an incredibly cheesy one, but if you were expecting something else...really? >_>), and in a way this feels maybe like what the Karateka remake should have been on iOS. It's essentially a 1 on 1 fighting game with rhythm based controls much like those of Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan. There's a ton of stuff (fighting!) going on screen (which does take a little toll on the framerate, but nothing serious...on a 4th gen iPad) unlike Cytus or CHTHONIC: Rhythm Crusher, which were boring as hell to look at. Voice acting's surprisingly REALLY good! Overall, I'm glad I took a chance with this and ignored the absymal console reviews. $3, no IAPs, full game with full voice acting...recommended as long as you're sure your hardware can handle it.

EDIT: The one thing that seriously bugs me...censoring. Dude, "Who am I?" is gaaaaaaah...increeeeeeeeedibly censored. Sheesh!!!

Well, I've finished off the game (clocks in at about the 2 hour mark) and it was thoroughly enjoyable from start to end. But I guess I'm back to being The Metal One. *blasts the new Sabbath*
