You all were supposed to have this a long time ago.

I confess.

I don't have it, never bought it.

But this is the first $1-sale for that game, according to Appshopper.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

I didn't really like the first part, got too repetitive for me too fast.
Moreover, while combat and dodging are no problem, I am totally bad at parrying. I've heard that parrying is vital in IB2. So I skipped the game.

I have more than more than enough to play anyway.

I bought the first one ages ago but I found it so very boring and tedious. I'll skip.

Last iOS game I bought: 6/1/15

is this pretty much exactly the same as the first one, or does it stand out in some way?

Ie. If I already have the first, should I bother?

It's similar to the first in terms of gameplay, but expanded in several key ways (more items, more weapon styles, more branching paths).

That being said, the game does feature one of the single most annoying bugs I've ever experienced-- occasionally, when you parry successfully, the game will act like you've parried by notifying you of it, but the attack will still hit you anyway.

Nothing game-breaking, but if it happens at the wrong time it can be immensely frustrating. Still an incredibly solid purchase for a buck, though.

I don't think much people will have benefit from this sale because they already bought it.It is a must own for ios players.I am very irritated because of the delay of Infinity Bladeungeons.
But this one is really cool!
