So I have a weird little hobby. I like to make folders in my iPad by theme, rather be genre. Sometimes it's just because the icons complement each other, or because they have similar art styles.
So now that Limbo is out on iOS, it occurred to me to create a folder full of games with the same silhouette/dark kind of style... here's what I have so far:
Limbo (duh)
Badland
Contre Jour
Nihilumbra (fantastic game, can't believe I got it for free, I wish I could go back and pay for it)
Hero of Many
About Love, Hate and the other ones
And a special spot for Blindscape, because you really cant get a game with a darker art style
I have tons of games and I know there are others I'm not thinking of at the moment. Can anyone think of others?
Most Wanted: Prevail, Tengami
Playing: Oceanhorn, Robot Unicorn Attack 2, Phoenix Wright HD, Limbo, XCOM, Layton Bros.
"AtomicJezebel" on GameCenter, PSN and Xbox
Beta Tested: Sketch Nation, Floop, Queen's Crown
Based on your list, you're looking for Limbo art-style rather than Limbo gameplay-style.
I can add 2 runners to your list... Not so much in gameplay, but should be somewhat similar in art-style.
rComplex
Vector
Exact-Psience My 2014 Top 10 Games of the Year: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Hearthstone, VVVVVV, Battleheart Legacy, Wayward Souls, Bug Heroes 2, Powerpuff Girls Defenders of Townsville, Deep Loot, Monument Valley, Bioshock Honorable Mentions: Traps N Gemstones, Bardbarian, Goblin Sword
Hmm I can't find rComplex on the app store, never heard of it before. Penumbear was a good thought, so was Vector! I have them both already, added them. Miseria looks like a creepy Dizzy Bee, I didn't realize it was out!

Oh crap, i remember rComplex being removed from the appstore. I still have it though. So... Lucky me?

Canabalt is more retro looking than Noir-style/silhouette-style visuals-wise, so i think it's safe to not include it in the list.

How about Slender Rising and Incoboto (full versions) the former is definitely dark and beautiful, both are epic with headphones, and the latter is surprisingly dark with beautiful artwork. Additionally not only are both amazing on iPad Retina, but searching for all the different signs on the former and the malicious 'quotes' in the latter is quite fun. However, the two are nothing alike but both are great.
