Game Icon: What icon would you choose?

Hey guys, I just finished my first game and I have still doubts on the name and the icon.

Here's the trailer:

And the doubt is between these four options:

What combination would you choose?

I like the brain tank a lot, but it doesn't stand out from other icons enough. Maybe some more contrast between the brain and the tank would help.

The brain icon is significantly better. The other is very, very boring.

That being said, the brain icon can still be improved on. You need to make it 'pop'.

You can test your icon with a CPM facebook campaign with exact title and description and see which has higher CTR.

Yeah, i also prefer the brain version along with the Big Brain Master name to go with it, although having said that, does anyone find it a little weird/freaky to have an image of a brain on the icon?!

I think for me, i would make it less life-like and more abstract/illustrative/cartoon, maybe even just by (for eg) increasing contrast or such like on the said image.

I do agree the icon needs to pop out more, maybe sharpened and less blurry.

By the way, take my comments with a pinch of salt because my app icons aren't great!

Oh, i also like the idea that you've mocked it up against other apps on the App Store to see how it'll look - this is actually something I haven't done myself and may do so going forward, so thanks!

I ran a campaign on facebook to measure the CTR (click-through-rate).

The results were very poor but interesting.

Budget: $25 by each

option a) CTR: 0,05%
option b) CTR: 0,044%
option c) CTR: 0,037%
option d) CTR: 0,036%

i like 4. it would look nice with ios 7 coming up. Thats the same type of decision I had to make with my new app, Things He Says.

Brain Master as the name seems fine for the type of game it is, and the brain in the tank looks and feels more unique as a concept though as others have said it needs to be reworked to pop more.

For me though there is a huge disconnect between the narrative presentation/goal and the actual ingame graphics and gameplay. The two seem to appeal to different audiences. You may want to consider that and how you might rework the content or trailer to better connect the two, as well as considering that issue for other things like store text and screenshots.

Everything looks nice and polished though, so well done.

0.05% is a very good CTR rate for ads I think. That one is probably my favorite. I think making more of a contrast might help though. The entire thing seems a little light to me. Maybe make the green darker. I'm no expert in design though.
