Audio Nerd for hire (music/sfx)

Hi
I'm an experienced composer and sound effects producer, and for more info/examples, please visit my site: http://nerdtracks.com

There are video and audio reels there, and you can experience the wide variety of musical styles (orchestral, hybrid electronic/orches, metal, kids music, jazz, cartoony, and invented genres), and see vids with my sound effects (most of which are from my own custom SFX library.)

I'm just finishing up several games, but none for iPhone, and I'd like to get my audio feet wet on that platform.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Dren McDonald
(member of Independent Game Developers Assoc and Game Audio Network Guild.)

Some nice variety there. Good looking site too.
That will give you a leg up on the competition, of which there is a ridiculous amount. When I was handling the resume email account at my old employer, I'd say 5% were for coding, 20% were for artists, and the other 75% were for sound engineers / musicians.
Considering audio spots were the rarest openings that was high ratio to compete in. At least with the increase of small developers that means that you have a sound guy for every 3 to 6 team members instead of for every 30 to 60

Hopefully this name will update soon as I requested a name change. I'm no longer affiliated with Atommo games.

what was that line from star wars...?

Don't ever tell me the odds...

or percentages, in this case. Wow, that's pretty crazy, 75%!

Thanks for the kind words about the site, much appreciated. And for the added optimism at the end of the post, I need that!

I like your stuff

Your site is very clean and nice, you don't really think about background music but it adds a ton to games. Good Luck Buddy

check out music previews to upcoming game FUZION

This was in the extensive Fuzion thread, but we decided to preview some of the music for this spooky themed, word puzzler/rpg. The music preview is at:

Really looking forward to playing this one...

Now on to the next game!

I'd just like to say that Dren is an absolute pleasure to work with and I highly recommend his services to anyone interested in adding audio to their game or app. Not only does he deliver an outstanding final product, he also goes above and beyond to make sure that the client is 100% satisfied.
