Let me get this out of the way first: the controls are problematic. You swipe anywhere on the screen to move, but there's a sort of "dead zone" which amounts to gentle, slow swipes being all but ignored, while sharp, fast swipes result in exaggerated movement. Clearly this is by design, and it is possible to get used to it, and I am actually still in two minds as to whether this actually presents a "fair" challenge, but really, it's difficult to come up with a good reason why something as simple and intuitive as 1:1 movement was not implemented instead.
That said, the game itself is fairly outstanding. The gameplay and design ethos recall some of the better titles from consoles like the Dreamcast and N64, and really it's just a very pure and classic arcade experience. For $2, the amount of content, degree of polish, and overall production values, are almost embarrassing. If you are able to take the controls on as part of the challenge, this can be recommended with no hesitation. I plan to be spending a fair bit more time with this myself.
