This is it, the 3rd Monkube game. No comic/game fusion this time, but a straight up puzzle game, called BlastBall.

BlastBall's goal is the exact opposite of stuff like Candy Crush. Meaning a new gameplay mechanic and no sugary skin or any commercially exploitable setting. Just puzzle gameplay in its purest form. BlastBall was co-created from the ground up by famed abstract board game creator Kris Burm. We say famed, because the guy holds place 1, 2, 4 and 7 on boardgamegeek.com's Abstract board game list. BlastBall's core mechanic is a 'five in a row' game, but a movable board and two pieces that can alter the playing field create layers of depth unseen in many other games. The longer you play, the more permanent and temporary boosts become available, allowing you to add more strategy to the mix.

BlastBall is a free to play game, but was 100% built and tested without giving our testers access to In App Purchases. Impatient gamers can buy coins to unlock and to buy stuff, but earning them through playing is really more fun. We're putting the final touches to it as we speak, so BlastBall should be out in about 4 weeks as a universal iOS app.

We got a few questions for all the TA visitors who are into puzzlers:

We're kind of on the fence about a Coin Doubler option. We don't want the game to be either Grind to Play, or pay for the game through a Coin Doubler and then have a more or less normal Coin income. What the TA crowd's opinion on this?

Oh, and do any of you have New Zealand accounts?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
