Astraware Casino also includes a bank where you can get an overdraft if your luck is out, or stash your cash if you win big!

MY IMPRESSIONS:

Although I didn't play all games I personally like Slot Machine, Blackjack, Texas Hold'em and Video Poker.

I like the idea to have an account and manage the balance along with per game statistics (games played, winnings and wagered). The game also includes "Souvenirs" (like achievements) and higher betting limits to achieve.

Graphics and sounds are just OK. iPOD music plus game sounds are supported.

Loading time is reasonable.

It can resume properly and it can save each game state apart (nice touch).

Though it has a lot of room for improvements I think this is a great Casino with a good set of games. Statistics, souvenirs and betting limits add to the replay value for sure. And it's only $0.99. I've been playing this game more than I thought I would.

4/5

Bought it. Like it, quite a lot for .99. Definitely worth the price.

Now this looks interesting. Okay I'm $.99 poorer.

I have 12-in-1 Jackpot Casino and I am underwhelmed by it...so I am wondering how this new Astraware Casino is in comparison. I am looking for a good collection of casino games and haven't found one yet. Has anyone tried both games? Any other opinions? Thanks.

Personally I thought the 12 in 1 casino game was lousy. I'll try this one out today and let ya know what I think

Hey Carlos,

Can you be a little more specific?
"Though it has a lot of room for improvements... 4/5"
4/5 seems like a pretty good rating, what needs improving?

Thanks,
Marc

I didn't play all games yet but Roulette, for example, needs a report after each round telling how much you won and lost because right now I can't tell what is going on.

In addition, one of the most annoying things right now is the dealing cards sound in Texas Hold'em.

Although it has statistics it'd be nice to have a general one telling details about your wallet (how much spent, won and so on) including a session statistics. And why not some graphics showing your account evolution?

Finally, I'd like to see more polished graphics here and there. The Texas Hold'em table is a bit simple along with the player's name labels (that looks not aligned).

In resume, small details that can make a good game in a perfect one.

By the way, when I started the game today all my statistics and bank account were reset. Unfortunately it seems to be a bug... I've already contacted Astraware support.

Hmmm, ok Carlos. Thanks for the update.

Anyone know how this developer operates? Think they are likely to update this title to clean it up a bit?

Trying to answer my own question with AppShopper, they appear to update fairly infrequently - Astraware Board Games (about 6 months), Astraware Sudoku (about 7 months).

While past performance may not be indicative of future performance... it may

I'm gonna pass on this one, but I really like Astraware's sudoku, and they've been around for a good while in the mobile gaming business. I remember playing their games on my ancient Palm III.
