Default MFI Controller... where are you?

MFI Controller support in iOS 7 was first announced 4 months ago. iOS 7 has been available for 2 1/2 weeks. Why have we only seen leaks and teases for controllers?

Anyone have any ideas why we aren't seeing controllers hit the shelves? I would have guessed someone would have a controller for sale by now, or a preorder, or even several official announcements.

With Apple approving apps, it just seems odd to me.
Curious what you guys think?

Wouldn't iPad v make more sense? It's the 5th iPad, not the 10th. But I think they'll stick with iPad 5.

So, is apple controlling the announcements and release date of 3rd party MFI controllers? I know Apple has to approve the devices, but why wait for the iPad announcement? They already announced the capability.

It looks like it. No game app devs have dared to speak about it yet in public.

iPad event came and left. Sure it gave us 2 capable gaming systems. No controllers yet?

Now I'm just baffled.
