App description: Episodic horror game, with original low-res visuals and a gorgeous orchestral music score. Surrounded by a thrilling sound atmosphere, players will experience a really immersive environment through the stimulation of their imagination, just like classic horror writers like Poe and Lovecraft used to.

This game takes part of a daring project coming from a small indie studio. Each chapter is funded by the game community through the website: www.TheLastDoor.com

What the media says about the game:
"Love letter to Lovecraft". Penny Arcade.
"Soon, I will stop trembling". Gamezebo.
"The world, particularly the audio, has found its way inside my head." Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
"While you cant see the terror-stricken face of a dead body, you can imagine it, and I always find that to be much more horrifying." Indiestatik.

Anyone played this game? Looks like Home - A Unique Horror Adventure (which I didn't like very much). It received good reviews on App Store.

There is only one review on my App Store, and I won't make a decision to purchase based on that. My concern is that the game will be far too short, if it is split up into episodes.

I don't mind paying 2 dolars on a short game if it is a good game.

Well, I think I'll have to risk 2 of my dolars do find out if it's good...

"First chapter will become free on next November 2013, coinciding with the release of the second chapter in the App Store. By buying it right now, you'll be supporting and helping in funding the project, allowing us to develop more chapters."

Maybe I'll wait, dont know...

One thing that I am happy to see in the description is accessibility options, and support for those who are hearing impaired. Perhaps I should spring for this one to support the developer on this basis alone.

Well, I bought it. It's a good game, has a nice story, nice atmosfere, great sound (altough music gets repetitive)... But it is not scary, it's very short (even more than Home) and sometimes itens are hard to find due to the pixelated graphics.

I hope episode 2 has those things improved!

Obs.: If you don't want to spend 2 dolars, you really should get it in november when it goes free. It worths a check.

Pfft I'd prefer a SIMulation of my imagination. As that can be a wild place sometimes :P

Waiting on more impressions - certainly not short of things to play but if it truly isn't scary as it's meant to be then I might just wait list it until November and buy the second episode if I'm truly impressed. Ok it's only two dollars - but then so many other ones are too. An aesthetic does not always maketh the game.

It really has a thrilling atmosphere, but it's not scary like Year Walk at all. Have you played Home - A Unique Horror Adventure? Did you find it scary?
