This looks interesting, but also kind of looks like one big boss fight from the screenshots.

Holy crap!!!!!!
Yes!

This is basically an HD remake of one of my favorite freeware shooters ever: Warning Forever. I've been wanting Warning Forever on IOS since well...forever. But this is the next best thing

Here's a write up I did on WF, but it all applies to Infinity Danger:
Quote:
Facade was the game that introduced me to indies, but it was Warning Forever that cemented my passion for these obscure inventive titles. Warning Forever is a bullet hell SHMUP with a cool vector graphics style. But it's not like any other SHUMP you've played. This is the David and Goliath version: just your tiny ship against one boss. You have your rapid fire weapon and your reflexes and you must survive. You can target parts of the enemy and blow it apart piece by piece.

But what makes WF special is that the boss learns and adapts to your tactics. Focus all your fire at its front and the next iteration will be more heavily armored in the front. Get killed by lasers? The next boss will be brimming with laser turrets. Each boss grows bigger, more menacing, armed with more weapons, until your tiny ship is facing off against a screen filling monstrosity. Every boss is randomly generated according to your own tactics and performance. How long can you survive?

It's an innovative formula that I'm surprised never caught on. I remember many sites praising the game when it first came out. Even IGN had an article on it back in '07. I still play the game today and it is still challenging after all these years.
I don't know how the touch controls will be, but besides that, Infinity Danger is a must play. It's an absolute steal at $0.99.

Did I just hear "Warning Forever"? Count me in.
Definitely looking forward to this one and it's randomly generated bosses.
BTW, this has been out on PC for a short while already too, and as mentioned also on XBLA.

Haven't played Meteor Blitz, but from the gameplay, I'd say this isn't that similar. There are no upgrades to buy, only your single gun. The hook (and it's a great hook) is that you fighting procedurally generated bosses that change based on your performance and tactics. It's basically one big boss rush with an adapting enemy and a bullet hell with the later boss forms. The gameplay is really more about evasion and playing smart and the novelty of how crazy the bosses become over time.

And of all the times I've played this and Warning Forever, I've never seen the same boss.
