Yep, it is freemium. However, I have played it for a bit and it seems fun and well done. The "match 3" game play it uses seems to be pretty innovative. This is worth a look, IMHO.

I really like the game, but it's a f2p model, which they're not known for. They do have a few freemium hidden object gamers with timers and other nonsense. I was hoping Big Fish wouldn't follow the trend as some of these other developers, but I see it coming. It's a shame because they make quality games. Some of the power-ups and "extras" are an upward of $6.99. That's more than one of their quality games. Mobile gaming seems to be going in the wrong direction. Because of these developers callous attitudes towards consumers, I'll start looking for more ethical, indie developers.

I had fun playing this until the sudden difficulty spike around Level 30+ onwards. When you die or quit a level, you must remain logged in to regenerate 'lives' (the timer counts down only while you're playing).

Just deleted the app. It's the same old story: a great concept is ruined by freemium 'pay to win' elements.

Thanks Stormy and Verlaine for your feedback. This is a brand new game for us, so we'll continue to make changes and add content over time. We're listening, so we'll keep your comments in mind as we work on the next game update.

We want the game to be challenging so that players have a tremendous sense of accomplishment when they overcome the challenge, but it is good to know that the balance of levels 1-29 and 30+ doesn't lead to a smooth transition.

Thanks!

Lives not regenerating

Anyone else have trouble with lives not regenerating? Initially, I made it all the way to the "highway" after which instead of around 15-20 minutes of waiting for a life to regenerate, it was coming up at 60 minutes. After those 60 minutes, I didn't get any lives back and the counter reset to another 60 minutes. I tried to install the game again, and the same problem keeps happening.

Is this a glitch? Or just a ploy to get me to spend money on lives?
