Looks like this has actually been out since June and it's free. Looks promising. Wondering if there's just an IAP unlock.

I emailed the dev a few days ago to ask about the game. It's been out in other countries, released on the US store today. Game is free with ads, but he said that they made sure the ads were unobtrusive. So far I've been playing, only one ad, nothing during gameplay

Gameplay reminds me of Beat Sneak, as enemies and hazards move to the beat and you need to tap to move to the beat to collect the hearts throughout the level and earn the best score. No IAP as far as I can see. The game has 100 levels (5 "worlds", 20 levels each)

The dev was unsure of whether to go the 0.99 route or free with ads. When I asked him about this, he said:

if only there were more people...that would be okay with paying a couple of bucks we really wouldn't have to go the ads route. But don't worry- even if there are ads, we will make sure they aren't intrusive or effect the user experience. thats pretty important for us

If the dev stops by, is there a way to complete levels like 10 and 13 without breaking blocks?

The more I play, the more I find that it feels a lot like a stealth game than just another rhythm game. There are "patrols" to avoid, lasers to evade, and special enemies that have behaviors such as homing in on you. You also have to strategically break through blocks, which adds a puzzle element. Replay value includes collecting all hearts on a level and improving your time

I'd definitely recommend giving this a try. And the music is great

hey bronxsta - thanks for checking beat leap out and for the nice comments. In certain levels breaking blocks is inevitable. Looking forward to more feedback as you keep going!

thanks again!

The one thing I'd change is that when the screen dims while flashing to the beat, to keep the enemies and hazards bright. Those moments are extremely useful in deciding where to move next and it can be difficult to keep track of enemies because they're hard to see, especially the light grey enemy

Am I the only one playing this?
It's free, with no IAP, has a lot of content, and it's fun and challenging. Definitely worth a try
