Happybyte's comments:

Little Boat River Rush is a splashy and vibrant adventure embodied by a powerful blend of boat racer and endless runner.

While working on the game we wanted to create something light but challenging, refreshing but with nostalgic notes of childhood breeziness.

We already shared with you our first concept for the game. Btw, we didn’t give up on it and are hoping to turn it into something legendary in a year or so. And if you ever played River Raid, the source of our inspiration would not seem a mystery to you.

With time, however, we slightly changed our direction, which led us to the creation of Little Boat River Rush.

Good news is the game is absolutely free. It does offer IAP feature, which is, however, entirely optional and stands out from the intrusive IAP, so popular among many other freebies. In addition, it supports iCade and Bladepad controllers, which let the players see the game in a brand new light.

Treat yourself and let us know what you think!

Seems to be out worldwide (I'm UK based), downloading now

Hope its not just another runner. Really liked the look of that original River Raid style game you were initially talking about though

Right its downloaded...

Plays well, controls are good, like the way it flicks from going upwards to downwards. Usual issues though, as its freemium it seems quite 'dear' to carry on where you finished as you have to use stars. The usual 'spam all facebook friends' to get stars etc which is frustrating.

Would love it if this was £1.99 or something and not freemium

I hope that the game isn't that particular kind of FREE which you afraid of - we aren't freemium funs ourselves and tried to make it free but not EA-style of FREE. Play it and let us know if anything is wrong with it. Will listen and then fix

I beta tested Little Boat River Rush and it's a very enjoyable game!
The game is free, yes. But it's perfectly balanced imo! I also love the fact that there are seperate gc-leaderboards for many different countries

Would love to see some gc-achievements in the future.

We also didn't find a solution to record the video for the game as flawlessly smooth as it smoothly plays in real life.

Whatever we did, it seems like converting the screen to HDMI/AirPlay in iOS has changed and now takes sometimes so much processing power, so the video looks a jerky sometimes in some places.

We used a direct HDMI output recording device from Blackmagic, which is capable or capturing smooth 4K video, but, sadly, to no avail - and it was same for any game we tried to capture video from.

So, we had to compose the trailer from parts which did capture smooth.
