Hate to admit it but I actually tried this. TL;DR looks good, plays bad.

Freemium. IAP's really cheap compared to the majority and the only currency is coins. However, freemium isn't the letdown here. It's the gameplay.

The devs had some pretty good artists here with beautifully realized environments, a colorful UI and cutesy characters. Unfortunately, these went to waste as the gameplay, a dual stick shooter, is extremely bland. There's a campaign and survival mode but no multiplayer. Guns are the typical variety and are upgradable. Auto aim is wonky but thankfully there is an ever-present toggle on the bottom of the screen... Right. Oh, there is no manual reload. You have to drain your clip to reload even if ammo is unlimited. Okay!

Enemies move just as fast as you so they'll eventually get you the more turns you make. The dagger-wielding insects have amazing thrust speeds and will land a hit whenever they eventually get into range. They can swarm really well and the sensation is like being in 28 weeks later. Not enough bullets, and you WILL take hits.

One more thing. It feels inappropriate to put guns on a cute bear in a game as serious as this. Target audience is kinda meh. I think the artist's original concept would have been better but that became a loading screen.
