I beta tested King's League: Odyssey and it's a guilty pleasure. It's got a casual vibe and not as much depth as I'd like - but couldn't help finding myself enjoying it. You fortify units to fight battles, they move autonomously and the upgrades feel meaningful. It feels like there's a good variety of things to do (train, raid, quest, etc) even if much of it ends up being the same form of combat. It's got a streamlined Game Developer Story feel to it - not difficult but fun to level up and fight. It's easy to recommend to casual players and people who enjoy games developing a kingdom/squad. The animations are cute and fun to watch. It's hard to explain King's League because reading what I've typed it doesn't sound like a game that would appeal to me... but I enjoyed it anyway.

No. The gameplay is balanced without IAP.
