Description
Asteroid Smash is a game for up to 4 players on 1 iPad. You're an Asteroid Miner with a problem, 3 other Mining Stations have been set up near you and your only choice is to destroy them.

In Asteroid smash you control a turret on a Moon located in one of the 4 corners of the iPad, along with up to 3 of your friends. You have to mine the Asteroids in the middle to earn cash so you can buy Attack Ships, which you drag in the direction of the Player you want to attack. The ships will do the rest. Meanwhile you'll have to spend your Money wisely between buying Ships or also buying defensive weapons because the ships that your friends fling at you will have to be shot down with your turret.

There is also some interesting random mini games that can change the balance of power completely.

Looks pretty cool. Looks kind of complex/hectic with four players on the screen, impressive though.

Each ship is controlled in the corner so each other's hands are not getting in the way of opponents but it can become frantic when you have bullets flying at you in all directions, I've only tried with my daughter but it was a lot if fun, next time we are gonna gang up on her dad and shoot him, will be fun.

Apparently this was an after-work project for the dev. There's a story up on HN about this game (with the dev participating): https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6749726

Hi, the dev here.

I'm working on updates for Asteroid Smash so feedback is appreciated.

For single player are you talking about playing against bots? or a survival type mode (survive as long as you can against waves of enemies)?

What I've got in the pipeline currently.
- Some tweaks to the tutorial.
- Adding an indicator to show when/how many miners you lose when you are attacked and the miners blow up.
- Thinking about adding a one time use "Mega Bomb" that will clear all the people attacking you, but also hurt your health a bit.

Longer term if Asteroid Smash was successful I would want to add the Aliens as a playable race.
- I'm thinking that you could choose to "infect" your base midgame. This would halt all money being collected for an amount of time, but afterwards you'd have different alien units to choose from. I think this would beef up the late game strategies.

These will (with your support) all be free updates to the app.

Also some more screenshots

No, I'm asking if this is strictly a multiplayer game or a mode for one person vs computer.

The game is currently just multi-player. But I've got a prototype already of a bot update. I hope to have it finished before the end of December. I don't want to rush it though.

I'd also like to add a team mode, maybe 2 vs 2 or something.

BTW These would all be free updates, I don't plan on having IAP at any point.
