Great-Sounding Monophonic Virtual Analog Synthesizer 'Nanologue' by Steinberg

Steinberg product website with some impressive videos and demo tracks.

Nanologue brings the power of VST 3 technology to the iOS platform. As a streamlined version of the acclaimed VST 3 synthesizer Retrologue, Nanologue sports a straightforward multi-touch interface and a great-sounding virtual analog synthesizer for monophonic leads and basses and can be used stand-alone and in connection with your iOS host application via Inter-App Audio.

Under the hood, Nanologue boasts a cross-modulation oscillator with two waveforms, glide, a VCF envelope, LFO, delay and a filter section with cutoff, resonance and distortion.

With 50 presets the library offers a range of sounds and effects including leads, booming basses and astonishing effects.

User presets can be exported to the Retrologue VST instrument, included in Cubase and Cubase Artist.
Not a special sale exactly because it seems to be permanently free. The good news: It's a VST in an iOS wrapper! A show-off for the new Steinberg SDK (supporting Apple's Inter-App Audio interface). Recommended! (Could be Retina, anyway.) Expect more standalone-VSTs in future!

Hint from a specialized forum (I've tested this and it works indeed):

Liking this synth so far, a lot of good sounds and variety. Easy to change up and make your own. This also reminds me why I love Audioshare so much…

If you want to run Nanologue through Audiobus all you have to do is put Audioshare in the input slot of Audiobus, open up the recording screen of Audioshare and select Nanologue as your Inter-App Audio input. Now you can add Audiobus effects to Nanologue and route to your recording app of choice, or hell, back into Audioshare if you want!

A little workaround but a great way to route IAA apps into Audiobus.
Btw Cubasis by Steinberg got an IAA update. Audiobus, Audioshare and Cubasis are separate Apps available in the iOS App Store.

Wish I could! This looks sick, though. Thanks for sharing Habakuk!

It's hard enough controlling most synths on a mini without external hardware.

I always thought you had a bigger iPad, cause you always seemed to have iPad apps even before the mini came out.

I need more storage space though...I have Cubasis,Auria,Beat Master 2,Looptical, etc...not enough room!

Tried it out and love it. Great synthesizer with great presets and so many options. I just need to figure out how to use it with garage band.
