App description: Bulge '44 is the second paid release in the Touch PzC series. This release includes 15 historical and hypothetical scenarios based on the PC Panzer Campaigns game of the same name. These scenarios allow you to play the part of different German commanders during the battle against the AI commanding the Allies. The scenarios range from the attacks by Peiper in the north of the Bulge to the attacks by 2nd and 116th Panzer further south as well as Panzer Lehr.

I'll admit right now that this isn't necessarily my type of game so I haven't tried it yet but I can see a few people on here being interested in it. There's a free version as well so hopefully I'll turn out to be worthwhile.

This is a port of PC version:

Classic operation-level computer wargame.

Much more "hard-core" than the Shenandoah Studio version of the same battle. If you are more of a traditional (map-with-hex) player, this may be the one you are looking for.

BTW, there are a number of titles based on the same engine and I will not be surprised to see other titles will be ported to iPad some time soon.

Edit: Further note:

There is another paid app PzC: Tunisia '43 and free CWB: Battles - A free app which covers the basics of Civil War battles.

Dang! November is sure expensive!

I tried the free version, and the interface was... ...unintuitive. Battle Academy and Tank Battle spoiled me...

Thanks for TOFTT early on as I had my eye on this one.

I tried the free, as in totally free version. Not the paid version. The free one is still free to download with no IAPs or ads. If only I could figure out how o play it...

The UI is less-than-responsive and has a lot of similarities with the mouse-and-keyboard PC UI.

The Panzer Campaign series is a lot more "hard-core" than Battle Academy and Tank Battle mentioned. It is more like Drive on Moscow but with a lot more micro-management and room for maneuver (which some ask for this iirc). Not for everyone I guess.

If you have doubts on the game mechanics and/or the UI, why not try the free version call Panzer Campaigns: Panzer first?

Apart from the scenarios, it is basically the same as Tunisa 43 and Bulge 44
