Default PAC-MAN by Namco (Universal) at it's lowest price ever: $.99

Yes. The original classic. Remember those old days with "Insert Coin Here"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pac-man

They rised the price on Dec. 12 from €2.69 to €5.99. For the most of the time it took €4.49. Now it's @ $0.99 for the first time since April 2011 when it was published for iOS. All-time best price. Their prior $1.99-sales sometimes lasted only for a few hours.

ALL MAZES PACK - 62% OFF $2.99
50 TOKENS PACK $0.99
MAZE: "WINDMILL" $0.99
500 TOKENS PACK - 50% OFF $4.99

There is a lite version, too:

Low bandwidth Version | Pop Up

The player controls Pac-Man through a maze, eating pac-dots (also called pellets). When all pac-dots are eaten, Pac-Man is taken to the next stage. Between some stages one of three intermission animations plays. Four enemies (Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde) roam the maze, trying to catch Pac-Man. If an enemy touches Pac-Man, a life is lost and the Pac-Man itself withers and dies. When all lives have been lost, the game ends. Pac-Man is awarded a single bonus life at 10,000 points by default—DIP switches inside the machine can change the required points or disable the bonus life altogether.

Near the corners of the maze are four larger, flashing dots known as power pellets that provide Pac-Man with the temporary ability to eat the enemies. The enemies turn deep blue, reverse direction and usually move more slowly. When an enemy is eaten, its eyes remain and return to the center box where it is regenerated in its normal color. Blue enemies flash white to signal that they are about to become dangerous again and the length of time for which the enemies remain vulnerable varies from one stage to the next, generally becoming shorter as the game progresses. In later stages, the enemies go straight to flashing, bypassing blue, which means that they can only be eaten for a short amount of time, although they still reverse direction when a power pellet is eaten; in even later stages, the ghosts do not become edible (i.e., they do not change color and still make Pacman lose a life on contact), but they still reverse direction.

Was gonna buy until I tried the light version. The controls are ok but not good enough to justify buying...too frustrating. They should just have a button on the right and left sides of the screen that turn you 90% left or right when pressed.

Bought Ms. Pac Man early on, and never did get around to picking up the original. IAP? Eh. It's for new content, I guess.

You can buy other labyrinths (boards). There areóbesides the "classic" level of the arcade machine of courseó"lite" versions of eight other labyrinths inside (have a look at the attached screenshot). They are playable but you can only eat all balls once (only one level). If you want to play more of those other boards, you can buy them or use one token. Also, you can use tokens (for real money) when you want to have more than three lives in any of the bought boards (incl. classic).

Supports Game Center with 25 achievements and 9 highscore lists (for the nine boards). Multi-language. You can start at any unlocked level.

I'd say it's worth the buck if you want to own a true classic original. Try the controls with the lite version. For me the swipe controls are okay, I switched them to high sensitivity. There are three difficulty settings: Easy (slower and with 5 lives), normal and original (hard).
