Essential IPhone games

It's 12am in the morning so forgive the uncomprehensive list. But I just wanted to do a little list of what I think are essential iPhone games. And people can add their own.
This comes following playing Mikey Hooks- what a title!
Therefore my first to on the list.

1) Mikey Hooks

This made me think of another outstanding platformer- and must be on everyone's iPhone/iPod Touch:

2) They need to be fed.

Still on the theme of platformers:

3) Totem Runners. What an amazing creative game that is.

Anyway those 3 came straight to mind now I just want to add other games I can think of:

4) (Chess fans only) Essential game if a chess fan Instant Chess. No long-winded asynchronous mode- but instant chess, instant opponent.

5) Hero Academy. Really nice turn based asynchronous game.

6) This Could Hurt. Genius game, for the mobile device - isometric view, 1 touch to stop the guy auto running into an abundance and array of traps.

7) Cut the Rope. Everyone will have tried this already. Fed up of conventional puzzlers? Along comes cut the rope for a new way of thinking.

8) Drop7. Age old IPhone/IPod game but still an essential. Want a game as addictive as Tetris but nothing alike-> it's this.

9) Subway Surf. I like this- bold and colourful, instantly accessible and likeable.

10) Flick Kick Football. You may not be a football/soccer fan but for sheer flick goal glory it's an essential.

11) Cannabalt. The original, the best. Even if just for the music.

12) Westbang. Another old one- but instantly accessible gameplay- shoot the bandit. Game with a lot of character.

13) Robot Master. Why a Reiner Knizia game? which to be fair Reiner Knizia games are usually known by a more particular audience. Well so many people know and are aware of noughts and crosses. This is about 10 x better than noughts and crosses. And you can play versus a bot, or solo as a solitaire. This game mention is an uncommon one- but learn the rules you got a game quick to learn, long to master right there- and perfectly suited to the mobile.

14) Punchquest. Essential, you've probably already played it, needs no mention.

15) Heman.

16) BananaKong

17) SpikeDislike. Original- try the lite.

18) HarborMaster- probably one of the first games people get on the iPhone/iPod Touch- that or the flight one. Line drawers.

That's a start.

Shouldnt "essential games" means games that a user needs to experience at least once to open the user to the world of iOS gaming? Else, it'll just be one's list of favorites or something similar.

Super Hexagon, Tiny Wings, Tilt To Live, Battleheart, Canabalt, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Jetpack Joyride, Angry Birds, Doodle Jump and Infinity Blade are some of the most prominent and influential games i could think of that defined iOS gaming today.

Im not saying these are the essentials, but instead having at least one iteration/innovation of these games on a list is.

Don't get it, but guess that makes it essential.

I guess a full essentials list must include at least one match-3.
