Tried it, disk size is way too big for this kind of game.

There are a lot of art assets in there and we have to support retina iPad etc. Apple forcing us down this route with universal apps.

Just a quick post to say that we took on board the comment from @connector and have reduced the download size to 125 Mb for the universal app.

Just to be clear - the quality of the game didn't change. we just used a technique where we switched from PNG art assets to JPEG + separate alpha transparency file.
