No joke. I'm always a sucker for minimalism.

I started searching for it on the App Store only to remember US has to wait till tonight

Here's the browser version if you wanted to get a feel for the gameplay:

And RockPaperShotgun had this awesome quote that perfect sums up the game or really any of these kinds of games
Quote:
Atomic is an arcade, score attack challenge that becomes increasingly like a dance on the edge of a knife blade that is poised above a pit full of knife blades.

So playing the browser version, gameplay feels like a mix of DSY! (evading projectiles), Code Red (moving on a circular track while evading), and Catch-22 (collecting the icons reverses your direction). Nice minimalist controls, nice music, and may be a bit more forgiving than other games in the genre due to the fact that you have a damage bar that fills up over time, and decreases as you avoid further damage.

Odd, link didn't work on the iPad but works on iPhone. Anyway. There is one crucial thing wrong with this game: none of the control methods are intuitive.

It isn't just hold to expand, release to contract? On PC, all you do is use the Spacebar, it's really simple.
