With a dogsledding team of your very own, enter randomized races to earn money so you can climb to higher leagues, buy new gear, and hire dogs, whose skills will grow if they're treated right.

Dog Sled Saga has simple, pick-up-and-play interaction, but also deep systems for dedicated players to uncover. Race with your unique team of dogs. Each dog's speed is hindered by hunger. Lob a limited supply of food to them to keep at full speed. Hazards on the track await.

Outside the races: use your winnings to hire new dogs, pay dues for higher racing leagues, or buy items to bolster you team. Treat your dogs well, and their innate hangups will transform into skills. Neglected dogs will diminish. Long-term success and a little luck will win dogs fame, potentially getting sponsorships and more.

Be alert to your dogs' behavior to succeed, in and out of races. If a dog is miserable, it will refuse to race, and a time may come to take them off the team.

Several factions (your league, the media/fans, a mysterious guild of mushers) will be paying attention to you, each with their own definition of success. Win their favor, and you won't find your efforts wasted.

The game will cater to fans of Spelunky, The Binding of Isaac, FTL, etc., who enjoy starting from scratch and trying to beat the game as proficiently as possible, but those who want to can continue ride with their team beyond the win condition we have in mind, as the game will generate randomized races for an eternity. New careers can be started with the offspring of legendary dogs from previous runs!

All I've seen on their site is early 2014. But hey it's early 2014 now, so I don't we'll have to wait that much longer

I like to imagine that the Narrator in the Trailer is Bronxta.

I also love Huskies. Hopefully we can play this soon

Honestly, indie devs seem to have channeled into my mind when it comes to mixing the perfect formula for games with me: randomisation, beautiful pixel art, highscore chasing, upgrades and a potentially unlimited scope for gameplay. Chuck in some very cute dogs and I think this will be a winner for me!

Looks good.

Heard about that "Saga" issue with King? Guess you will be forced to change the name
