Bonza Word Puzzle: A new type of crossword

Hi there,

Sorry for the Xpost.

Here's some information about this upcoming word game. Also, we'd love your advice on a couple of things (Below).

More info & Presskit available here.

The official trailer isn't ready yet but here's a gameplay video.

Description

Bonza is a new type of crossword. Players arrange word fragments to complete each puzzle. Every challenge is crafted with a specific theme so players must use their word power as well as spacial awareness. Its simple mechanic is easy to learn but also challenging to even the most savvy linguists. The game is stacked with hours of gameplay, plus a new puzzle is added everyday. Launch is scheduled for March 2014.

Features

• A new kind of crossword mechanic designed for touch screens
• Free daily puzzles. A different challenge every day!
• Stunning minimalist art style
• Relaxing ambient soundtrack
• Intuitive controls. Pinch, zoom, pan and swipe to complete puzzles

Thanks for checking out Bonza Word Puzzle.
We'd love some advice on a couple of things.

Price: We were thinking about releasing for US1.99 do you think this too much or too little?

Release Date: We're interested in showing the game at GDC Play in March. Do you think it's better to release before or after GDC?

Thanks

I signed up (on iPad) - looks like a fun word game. The video makes it look relatively easy, so I will be interested in seeing if that's the case. On your intro price - it'll depend on what is included. The end of the video indicates there is a starter pack and I assume then there are other packs. Are the others included? If not, it may be too high for a starter pack?? Someone else will have to chime in on the release date question...

I've signed up too via an iPad 2. Since I'm used to playing/using betas/unfinished products, I may not be bad at it.

You can launch it at an introductory price for two weeks for .99 and see how it goes. If all is good, you can stay with it depending on the response or raise it up to 1.99. Also, I'd go with a launch soon after the GDC, a week or sooner after it's done.

Thanks for getting on board, I've added you all to the distribution list.
We have enough testers for now so I've stopped taking new users.

Price: It seems like US1.99 is a reasonable asking price for a game like this. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after you play the Beta to see whether that's still the case.

Release date: It seems like it would make sense to show at GDC and try to hook up some press that would coincide with launch. So Launching a week after GDC sounds like a good plan.

Looking forward to hearing your Beta feedback.
