Seeking a space game

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is anything even remotely like the classic 1980's Starflight game by EA? (Space exploration game)

I've found space rts games, space 4x games but nothing like the classic Starflight.

That game would be so awesome on an ipad, I'd pay 20 for it..

Last iOS game I bought: 6/1/15

Star Traders RPG doesn't have as much micromanagement (with crew) as Starflight seems to have had but might be the closest thing on mobile currently. There's a free to try with 1 time IAP unlock edition or an upfront pay (Elite) edition, both have the same content. If you do get it I'd be curious to hear your impressions. Star Traders RPG is a favorite of mine.

The space roguelike Faster Than Light (FTL) is coming to iPad very soon, it's a fun game.

Galaxy on Fire has some trading components that might kind of fit elements of Starflight, but not really. It's a good space flight sim if you haven't already played it - more action oriented versus Star Trader RPG and FTL which are more menu based.

There is a game , which is actually mostly inspired by Elite , called Unknown . I've (sadly) never played starflight, but it is similar to what you're asking for.

Tiny Trek

The thing I loved most about Starflight was the possibility to explore the surface of planets. The closest thing in my opinion is the upcoming Tiny Trek, which looks really promising. Check out the thread here on TA: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=209798

Try it anyway; it has sandbox mechanics such as a dynamic market influenced by players, manufacturable items that can be traded player-to-player, artificial intelligence that competes with players for territory and resource control, even some player-designed content.

It may not be like Starflight, but it's one of the best mobile apps and easily one of the best mobile space apps out there.
