Yes, interesting little game, I like it. Reminds me a bit of Conway's Game of Life the way you get the lights to move around.

Can you make the interface so when you drag on the cube it rotates instead of having to drag outside the cube all the time?

Yeah I could, but then the changing of the lights would have to happen on a quick tap or something? Sounds like a reasonable upgrade. I will have a go at coding at the weekend, next 2 days I am teaching kids to make video games at work (a 3D platformer, no puzzle games for them!).

I love cellular automation. Which one are you thinking of which reminds you of it(sounds like something I would want to see ).

The easiest way is just to do the toggle on touch ended instead of touch began, but only if there was no drag. Or very little - young kids seem unable to manage just a touch without a drag. If there is dragging, then use it for the rotate as normal.

Teaching kids to make video games sounds like a pretty fun job!

Probably the glider. It felt like as I was killing some lights, more kept appearing and I was chasing them around the cube.
