It's a hack and slash. It's very fun from the start while you go through some tutorials it's starts to get very interesting. Combos, specials hits, blocks and bashes. It also has a arcade type score system and a leaderboard. It's fun and it's not flappy bird! You can't lose nothing. Thanks for reading. Free roaming on ships lol

Looks like a decent hack and slash. Bloody is a plus.

EDIT: downloading

It's surprisingly decent. In fact, though the scope is more limited, this is above Gameloft quality -- the animation is better, and the controls are spot on. I love it how you can push enemies off the side of ships. There's even some variety, with battle 3 including some bow and arrow action.

Considering it's free with no obvious IAPs, it's an easy recommendation.

EDIT: the game is very, very short.

It's some kind of movie license marketing. It is so easy and boring I couldn't finish the first battle quick enough. There are 4 battles total.

The production values are rather good, the water effect is especially well done, as there are actual waves with crests on them. it's just a simple, bare bones brawler essentially...nothing besides some decent art and controls, and lots of button mashing.

It's actually not as bares bones as you think. Later battles introduce power attacks, shield bashing, arrows, and new enemies that block. Unfortunately, once the combat gets interesting (and more challenging), the game is over.

Short. You can finish all 4 missions of this hack-n-slash in 15 mins just tapping on attack with the occasional tap-hold for an insta-kill. It sure is bloody and your character, the Greek general Themistokles, looks ready to rumble and moves just as good. The AI is less than competent but that makes your Spartan feel all the more hardened against the Persian army.

This doesn't have the best blocking mechanic. Blocks can't be performed in the middle of an attack and there is a huge delay before your shield goes up, most prominently after an attack. Back to attack spam it is.

The insta-kill moves look great and are satisfyingly bloody, with some splatter on the screen even for the signature Spartan kick! It sucks in the nearest opponent instead of the closest target in the direction you're facing and puts that guy out of picture. To pull it off though, you have to let go of the v-stick which is counter-intuitive.

There's a bow in the third stage but it's the weakest feature in the game. Controls for this part are incredibly sensitive as though you're always flicking the screen. To make up for this, you don't really have to aim hard at anything to kill soldiers. Bring the reticle about a real life's inch away from your target who's around 50 in-game meters away and press fire. Score!

A disappointing boss battle and anticlimactic ending sequence leave a bitter aftertaste to what is already a mediocre experience. The fight is easy enough that it ends before you can stop and say 'what?'

Like most any other movie tie-in game, this could have been better with more development time. It's a quick romp with unpolished mechanics but serves its purpose to hype you up for the upcoming sequel slash prequel to 300.

Just a quick go, seems a good hack and slasher with decent graphics and it's free what more do you want?
