App description: A chick has gone missing, and Mulder is on the case. He arrives at the last place she was seen, a worn down motel. Will he solve the case, and find the missing chick? Only you can help him.

A Darker Shade of Red is a fully voiced, jazzy noir point-and-click adventure game, filled to the brim with dark humor and shady characters. Help the private investigator Mulder solve the case, by exploring the old motel, helping the residents and ultimately confront the antagonist.

The visual style is gritty, and dark, with a touch of noir. The story is twisting and grim. How far will you go to find your chick?

Don your notebook, a glass of whiskey and your spyglass and go hunting. It's time to crack the case!

A Darker Shade of Red is Nickname Studio's first production, and we are very excited to share our creation with you.

The game is free, and we hope you will have as much fun playing it, as we had developing it.

I've tried this game on android, but I have no clue and there's no save point on that version. Might give this one a go... Anyway the punish panda also a fun game, publish by DADIU too.

Just played through the game, it's excellent. Colorful characters with adult dialogue. The story is about a detective searching for a lost chicken.

Full voice acting that enriches each character.

Point and click game at its best. The puzzles aren't that difficult. I'm not sure why it's free because this obviously is top notch.

I finished it in under an hour. If you like these types of games then play it!

Very short, quite easy, still excellent. Wish there was more. Hope the 'to be continued' holds true.

I agree with the others, it is a well done game and looks good.

Hopefully, the fact it is free means that more, and longer episodes will be available in the future, for which I would be happy to pay for.

Thanks from the designer

Hello everyone

Game designer of A Darker Shade of Red here.

I am very glad to finally see our game up on the App Store, it's been out on Google Play for some time now.

The game itself has been in development for approximately one and a half month, and we have had to cut some features and gameplay elements that we really liked (like humorous death scenes). Sorry about the save feature, it will of course be in the next (longer) episodes.

The game is free because it is done at an academy, and we simply wanted to have as many people play and share it as possible. CV builder, if you will.

Anyways, I'm glad you like it, and I hope we can produce more episodes in the future. We are working on a pre production, but since we don't have any money it's done in our spare time.

Hope you will enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed developing it - Writing dialogue was a lot of fun
