I will be copping this one ASAP. It has been on my radar ever since it was announced on July 11th. As well Giovanni at Bit Forge has been extremely nice in my email exchanges with him.

I hope so, it sounds good. I might pick this up, but I want to see what blunted247 says about it first.

Looks like a cross between GeoDefense and Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move

Installing it now!

EDIT: Installed, the graphics are superb, they really do remind me of the particle effects from GeoDefense, but they just seem to look a bit better.

Pure mode is nice to start you off with, but Gravity mode really stood out, imagine Bust-a-Move but with bigger balls and the size of the ball increases the force of gravity on the orb you shoot, so if you shoot it just right, very close to a large orb you can do some great curve shots.

And the nice thing is it's all one tap, simply tap to fire (the "gun" at the bottom swings from left to right automatically).

Great for the ride on the tube to work in the morning when it's too busy to get both hands up to play a game of Civ.

The polish on this thing is amazing too, like when you've hit an orb close to the "kill line" the game zooms right on in on the orb, simple things like that add to the general feel of a well turned out product and this app falls right into that category.

Default Wow - I LOVE it!

Man, this is polished!

I confess, I didn't want to download or buy it, as I am not a fan of those "shoot bubbles and combine three" games. But the cool video and screenshots got me.

The game is funky :-)

The graphics and animations are top notch, the particle-effects great and I just love this vector-style which reminds me in the best of ways of "geoDefense".

I played it for a few minutes only: The "gun" at the bottom rotates left to right and back and you shoot a ball just by touching the screen. The ball slows down and oce it stops, it grows unless it touches any border. After finishing that growing process it will show a "3" within.

If the ball touches any other ball while still "flowing" the number of the standing one will be reduced by one. After "1" the ball hit will explode in a very sweet particle explosion.

The game ends if any of your shot ball will come down too much and drop through the bottom line under which the "cannon" is located.

I really love it - it will stay with my iPhone for a long time. I love the music, the retro feel, the effects and the style. Actually I don't care much for facebook-connectivity, leaderboards or multiplayer - which is all present.

More important for me, it has this "only once more"-appeal. Thanks for that NICE game - which would have slipped if I hadn't read the forum!

"Orbital" is a winner and easily gets a 5/5 from me

A simple concept to rack your brains and nerves.
Sums it up pretty well really.

Does the game use progressive scoring? Like is killing two orbs in one turn worth more than killing one orb a turn for two turns?
