I hope to see even more paddles and balls added, other than that, this is an excellent game. Oh, and I'm the only player currently on the leaderboards so I'm ready to see some competition..

I'm not sure if any of the above codes are still active or not, I bought the game this morning as soon as it became available. I just thought I'd bump this thread so anyone not on TA early in the morning would know that this fantastic brick breaker has been released. It's just pure, fast, fluid arcade action with a few new elements introduced. A great game at $.99

If you're a fan of this genre I say don't miss this one.

Firstly, thank you for the codes. I have to admit that this game's genre isn't one of my absolute favourites. I don't dislike it by any means but having been gaming since the 80s I've played more than my fair share of Arkanoids, Breakouts, Alleyways and Brick Breakers. That said, there have been a few games that have managed to surpass my expectations such as Wizorb, so I'm always cautiously optimistic about trying a new one. Apologies for not mentioning my disposition but sometimes a different viewpoint is useful.

Initially I was a bit sceptical of the visual style, the title screen is quite simple and the way the black outlines kind of hum with white static looks a little more glitchy than intentional. As soon as the game starts though, it was little more than an afterthought. Whilst I don't like to make such a big point of mentioning the graphics, the thematic nature of the game invites comments and as such I really enjoy simple but effective scribbled style.
With regards to the meat of the game, the ball-smashing, again I have no complaints. It's solid and initially simple and I actually really appreciate the appearance of a tutorial - something I don't think I've ever seen in the genre before. It might sound redundant but it's genuinely nice to see a dev understand that not every consumer has as rich a gaming history as some of us. Given the younger user-friendly style, it's appreciated.

That said, I doubt I have to explain the gameplay to the forumites here. The power-ups are where the game shines for me; having experienced multiball, lasers, tiny paddle and darkness all in one go, there's a gleeful madness to it all. Once the action picks up it becomes much more of an action game than the infuriating experience of missing the last brick with several dozen shots that has jaded me slightly to the genre.

All considered, it's a pretty easy recommend. It won't turn a hater round, but it's going to make the fans very happy. Those on the fence; you could do a lot worse for the entry fee and the charm of the visuals, solid gameplay and some surprisingly impressive level design elevate it over the endless clones.

tl;dr: If it looks like it would interest you then I definitely recommend it!

(Apologies for waffling and my writing style making me come across like a pretentious k**b, I'm still working on it haha)

Got a promo code yesterday and I'm really enjoying this game. Now I'm no brick breaker connoisseur, but Break A Doodle certainly feels like the most hectic I've played. The game is fast, the physics feel great, the brick breaking feels satisfying, and the addition of catching bricks for more points only adds to frantic gameplay. The numerous pick-ups change the gameplay in fun challenging ways, from blacking out the screen to making your paddle smaller but giving double points. While some brick breakers can seem a bit slow, Break A Doodle would fit nicely alongside other high difficulty twitch games

Any impressions would be lacking without a mention of Break A Doodle's colorful drawn visuals, which definitely add to the experience and stand out from numerous retro-stylized brick breakers. If you enjoy a hectic challenge that requires skill and fast reflexes, definitely check out Break A Doodle
