Defend Your Life: Tower Defense In Human Body

Hello everyone, from August we are working on our next game. Someone came up with nostalgy for Once Upon a Time... Life series during brainstorming and we found out that tower defense from real human body might be good idea.

Anyway, here is the result:

Features:
  • - 15 levels
  • - 4 basic upgradable buildings
  • - 2 bosses
  • - Approximately 20 enemy units
  • - Encyclopedia

Work is still in progress, we hope that final version will be released in May 2014. What is done:
  • - graphics 65%
  • - programming (we use Unity 3D engine) - 65%
  • - sound design 20%

wow!!! such a nostalgia!! I still remember the theme song in the arabic version of the cartoon this the first time in years to see that game

Well, we also missed that kind of game, everything is so fantasy (no offense :-) ) so we tried to come up with something different

Tremble, war is near!


Okey, now seriously, we have some updates in development
  • - amount of levels increase from 15 to 17
  • - at the moment of writing this post 10 are done

What are we dealing with:
  • - difficulty of levels - we would like to use "easy - hard" model
  • - monetization model - still didnīt decide definitely. It seems that most easiest way is in-app model somewhere after 7th level. Another option is shop with heroes, special upgrades, etc. But this take another weeks of really hard work.

This level represents aorta. After this there is only one left to paint. Finishing of the game is closer.

I loved that cartoon! I hope you manage to smuggle some of its mood into your game. Is that first boss a kidney stone?

Glad to read you like it Anyway, yes, the Stonekid (as we named kidney stone boss) will be the first one you will meet. But he is not the final boss ;-)

Development Updates

Some updates from development:

  • - all levels are finally painted
  • - the same with enemy units
  • - programming aaaaaalmost done
  • - testing phase with about 250 players done
  • - which means balancing is still in progress
  • - works on sound design and music in progress
