Default Dungeon Explorer II - First-person Roguelike

Trapped beneath the ruins of an ancient city, a torch sputters dimly, next to you. The light it provides is of little comfort. In the distance you can hear scraping, clanging and the occasional growl. These sounds are strange and unnatural, but the only way out of this place is forward. It is time to bolster your courage and find your way out of this dungeon or die trying.
Dungeon Explorer II is an immersive and challenging 3D dungeon-crawler, reminiscent of old-school roguelike games. With you are countless demons, undead, abominations and more that will do everything in their power to keep you from ever escaping. Monsters aren't the only thing that you have to worry about, though. The maze is relentless and the traps are brutal. Do you have what it takes to use skill, speed and strategy to claw your way through 10 levels of non-stop action and anticipation?
Do you have what it takes to escape the labyrinth, or will you fall victim to its denizens and become one yourself?
~CSE

This mentions "rogue-like" but what's rogue-like about it?

Does it have randomly generated levels? That isn't mentioned anywhere.

I simply cannot believe that more people are not talking about this game. I just picked it up last night.
The spells are cool. The artwork is really nice. Your health does regenerate and you don't need to worry
about loss of health due to starvation. There are traps and nicely rendered monsters.

I am finding it a bit easy ,so far, but I am only on the second dungeon. You only fight with one character , but
the fighting is really well done with the enemies reacting to your attacks.

When you die , the game takes you back to the last auto save.

Thanks

I think you develope your class as you choose.
When you level up ,you need to allocate skill points to use bows
, magic wands, melee weapons.

When a wand or bow or weapon is in red , just click on it and you will
be shown what skill level you need to use it.

Thanks

Actually the different picture you pick at the beginning of the game has some impact on what loot is in the first chest also.

Seems a good game so far... Don't like that you can see whole map at start of each level though and it shows you where chests n switches are... Not much exploring if it shows you where everything is... Even where traps are
