Default The Deep Paths

The Deep Paths is a first-person dungeon crawler with heavily old-school influences.

This multi-dungeon adventure takes place in a post-war fantasy world, where the forces of evil have all but annihilated humanity, and small groups of heroes bravely fight to reclaim their home and secure a future for their people.

Some key features of the game include:

* A world map filled with locations to discover and explore.
* A home town which will act as the party’s base of operations.
* Classic, grid-based movement and turn-based combat.
* A deep and rewarding storyline.
* More dungeons, monsters, treasures, and secrets than you can shake a sword at!

The iOS version of The Deep Paths will be available for iPad. There is currently no testing or release schedule, but I’ll post frequent progress updates to keep everyone in the loop. Keep in mind that anything posted here is WIP and does not necessarily represent the final implementation.

Niiiiiice. Another first person dungeon crawler from Steve J!

Hey Steve, any chance you can crank out a similar game, but with a scifi setting?

Ah, I think I'll always be a fantasy setting guy. I just love me some swords and sorcery. I did stumble across a game called StarCrawlers recently that you might want to follow though. Looks like it's on the track to be really good.

Just a quick screenshot and an update. Getting close to complete on all of the preliminary systems for building the dungeons and setting up all of the levels. At the moment I'm putting together all of the different texture sets for the various areas in the game. After that, I might actually be able to start building some dungeons. For the time being, you may notice that I'm using some Coldfire Keep artwork - that's just temporary.

One more WIP screenshot, and then back to work for a while. More updates down the track.

Looks like I need to hurry up and finish Coldfire Keep then! Any idea if you'll bring this to Steam/PC?
