anyone has tried this?

I haven't tried it yet but it looks interesting. I was hoping for a video but their website didn't have any more information than this. In fact it had less. The other game they had on their site was House of Shadows, but I haven't tried that either. I guess I'll TOFTT, and report back later.

Less than 10 minutes in, and I'm loving it! I grew up with Atari 2600, and so far this has captured the feel of it perfectly. You have the rounded corners of the TV, the faint scanlines of the CRT, and a slight fuzz to everything when the colors are bright.

It controls well, and the humor is snarky but I like it. I'm only two trophies in so I can't say how long the game will last, but there are 24 cases for trophies, and at this point there's no telling how difficult some of them are going to be to get.

If you have any fond memories of the 2600, or the Atari Adventure game, I highly recommend you spend the $.99 to get this.

This looks great. How does it control though?

Very well, with swipes, rather than a joypad. But you can swipe anywhere, and your pixel will glide in that direction. For me it's working perfectly so far.

I'm now five trophies in, and it's just getting better. You collect coins in the levels, and then use them to buy upgrades (something I didn't know about before). Graphically, the coins don't fit in with the aesthetic of the rest of the game, but then neither does the music, and I don't feel that either take away from the immersion. There aren't any IAP or iAds (edit: that I've found so far).

The levels also get larger. One thing I don't quite have the hang of yet is the swipe attack mini game that pops up when you touch a monster with the sword. I've mainly had trouble with it if I've touched the monster while it was a bit too close to the screen edge, so it doesn't seem to register my swipes correctly.

For anyone interested, here is their website: http://www.electrictoy.co

There isn't much there, but there is a contact link, so I suggested that they stop by the forum and answer any questions anyone has.

All-in-all, fantastic find Pete! I'm loving it!

Right I bought it. The controls are great, a bit like relative touch

Love the Atari style graphics. Had a quick go and did the first Mission. Can't wait to get into it more. Well worth picking up specially for Retro fans

Loving this game
I hate my mom in the game, though
If she doesn't quit talking to me like that I'm going to bring my sword inside the house instead of these trophies

This takes me back to my childhood. As soon as I saw that 'castle' image I was hooked. I wonder if the developer Easter egg is also in the game?
