Bonza Word Puzzle: A new type of crossword

"Bonza puzzles are instantly addictive!"
- Will Shortz Crossword Editor, The New York Times

Bonza is a new type of crossword where players arrange word fragments to complete puzzles. It requires word-power, spatial skills and a little bit of trivia knowledge. If you like a good word challenge and you enjoy pushing boxes around with your fingers, then you'll love Bonza Word Puzzle.

I really enjoyed beta testing this. The puzzles are genuinely intelligently designed, well polished and often very challenging. Seems to be plenty of content for the price as well, if you enjoy crosswords/word games then it's an easy recommend!

This looks like a lot of fun and a nice change up from the usual word game. Bought!

Edit for game impressions:

I am very pleased with my purchase. The game is beautifully presented and the puzzles are very enjoyable. The challenge level seems to be moderate on average. Because there are just 70 puzzles and the game is so fun, I think I will blow through the content pretty quickly. Fortunately, there is the daily free puzzle feature, which offsets this greatly. Puzzle packs and past months of daily puzzles can be purchased for a dollar each, which seems reasonable. However, I think I would prefer an IAP to unlock everything (and all future puzzle packs) for maybe $4.

In any case, this is a fantastic little word game.

Just bought this last night and, WOW, I am impressed!

I found it on the Indie Game Showcase section of the App Store. Kumobius listed it as one of their favorite games. It is really intelligently designed and just impressive all around. I would definitely recommend dropping $1 on it.

It is good to see this thread being bumped as the game is so good. I continue to play the daily puzzle on a regular basis.

Updated today with more puzzle packs. I haven't downloaded it yet, but will soon (AppShopper notification).

If the devs ever drop by here, one feature I'd love to see would be some sort of season pass or discount on purchasing a bulk of the puzzle packs. Not sure at what price point. I mean, selfishly, I'd love to pay $5 and get everything that ever comes out, but that may not be fiscally reasonable. Maybe something like what Wayward Souls is doing, where the price goes up with each update?

I love this game, but it would sure be nice if it would remember the state if an unfinished puzzle. The developer mentioned they are working on it, but it still is not in the new update. I am happy to see there are a couple of new puzzle packs to buy.

Update:

Bundling packs is in development e.g. Buy 4 packs for the price of 3.
Also, saving puzzle data is in progress...

Thanks for the thoughts. I'll be sure to stop by more often.

Awesome! Not that bundling will matter for me by the time it comes out. I couldn't help myself and needed more puzzles.

Still play this every day. Usually the first thing in the morning, or the last thing at night (if it's after midnight and the new daily puzzle is up).
